What earthworks include
Earthworks covers all the work that reshapes the ground so it is ready for the next stage of a project: stripping surface layers, removing soil, moving earth within the site and shaping the final surface.
The scope differs from job to job. Before we start, we talk with you and, where there is one, with the project engineer, so it is clear what will be done, in what order and with which machines.
When you need earthworks
- Before building a house or other structure, to prepare the plot.
- To dig foundations or a basement, following the project drawings.
- To shape yards, surrounding areas and access routes.
- On farmland and agricultural facilities where soil needs to be moved or levelled.
- After a demolition, when the site has to be cleared and prepared for new use.
How we work
We begin with a site visit or a conversation about the project to understand the conditions: machine access, soil type, neighbouring structures and any utility lines. Based on this we propose the right equipment and a work schedule.
During the work we keep the site safe and the surrounding roads and properties clean, and we keep you informed. Our goal is ground that is ready for the next crew, without delays or surprises.
